General Function: .
  • Provide analytical and technical security management support for daily USG operations and coordinate with lateral and external agencies to ensure smooth ACS Directorate activities.
  • Support Information Security program execution, ensuring classified materials are properly marked, stored, transmitted, and protected per DoD, USAF, AFMC, local, and ICD directives.
  • Assist with Industrial Security program implementation, including compliance with all regulations and managing DD 254 forms, visit requests, and related tasks.
  • Support Personnel Security by helping complete investigation paperwork, reviewing packages for accuracy, tracking clearances, and maintaining an active DISS account for visit and clearance actions.
  • Apply knowledge of SAP Nomination Process (SAPNP) requirements and ensure compliance with SAF/AAZ and USD special access program nomination policies.
  • Perform secure facility office functions such as faxing, managing visit certifications, scheduling conference rooms, tracking personnel packages, and updating internal databases.
  • Support secure facility operations by following ICD 705 standards, assisting with annual refresher training, and performing opening, closing, and limited alarm-response duties.
  • Assist in implementing Resource Protection, Force Protection, OPSEC, and Anti-Terrorism programs in accordance with all applicable directives.
  • Help develop and maintain SCGs, PSDs, TA/CPs, and PPPs, ensuring all secure facility documentation and physical security requirements are up to date.
  • Integrate export/technology control laws and DoD/Air Force policy into program protection planning and recommend improvements to existing security policies.
  • Maintain proper filing and records management of all security-related documents in accordance with AF ERM requirements.
  • Support the Directorate's Program Protection Program by conducting working groups, maintaining PPP databases, identifying CPI/SCRM issues, assessing threats, and recommending cost-effective countermeasures.
  • Apply knowledge of C&A processes, IT/INFOSEC policies, system testing, and network operations to support security accreditation reviews and advise on countermeasures.
  • Assess telecommunications systems and configurations for vulnerabilities and advise on protections against espionage, disruption, and destructive programs.
  • Assist in developing Acquisition Information Assurance strategies to meet DoD IA requirements, policies, and architectures.
  • Provide broad security support across system security, technology control, and program protection, including SAP support, secure facility maintenance, alarm response, and conducting independent security studies.
  • Ensure security requirements are integrated across all program areas, support development of certification/accreditation documents, anti-tamper plans, and participate in SSWGs, CWGs, and IPTs.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and maintain DD 254s, contract security documentation, classification/declassification guides, and classified Security Status Reports.
  • Support Program Security tasks including incident reporting, background validation, investigative paperwork processing, PAR preparation/review, DISS checks, indoctrinations, and annual security training and inspections.
  • Assist with escort duties, mailbox monitoring, SOP development, database/file maintenance, and support Security Inspections and EEUM activities, including developing EEUM security plans with partner nations.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
  • MA Degree and at least 10 years of experience in the related field, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR, BA Degree and at least 12 years of experience related to the position requirements, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR, 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be with the DoD.
  • Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
  • Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
