JOB DESCRIPTION :
SAIC is seeking a Training Analyst with expertise in Anti-Submarine Warfare to facilitate high-end fight training for Strike Group and Expeditionary warfare staffs and units as they prepare for deployment. The ideal candidate would be a former U.S. Navy Officer or Senior Enlisted member with knowledge of the latest doctrine, tactics, & systems involved in Anti-Submarine Warfare. You will be part of a small team of highly focused experts that research, develop, present, and facilitate complex war games to meet fleet training requirements using technical and complex modeling and simulation (M&S) systems and network-based tactical C2 applications. You will also liaise with Navy and Joint centers of excellence on the latest ASW tactics, techniques, and procedures. Place of performance is onsite in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Fleet Concentration Areas and other locations for exercise planning.

JOB DUTIES :
- Provides military operations expertise to projects such as military training, military planning, tactical/operational warfare analysis and documentation support, military budgeting, military systems design and testing, military systems integration, or other similar efforts that require a thorough understanding of military force structure, operations, systems, capabilities, limitations, and employment.
- Develops war game scenarios and associated products to meet Navy Mission Essential Task List (NMETL) training objectives in M&S and tactical systems.
- May provide support directly to military units as an ASW subject matter expert.
- Conduct research, identify, and make recommendations about military resources required for task execution and completion.
- Gather, process, and analyze military tactical and operational data in support of military planning and operations.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE :
- Bachelors and 6 years' experience, or HS and 10 years of demonstrated experience in planning, implementation and execution of Navy ASW missions and operations or equivalent.
- 5 years' experience as a Naval Officer or Chief Petty Officer or equivalent.
- Secret clearance required.
- Warfare-designated or warfare-qualified in ASW (e.g. MH-60R pilot or aircrew, USW watch Supervisor, or equivalent).
- 5 years' experience developing and executing tactical team training on M&S and tactical systems.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE :
- Experience with Fleet Synthetic Training
- Experience with Live-Virtual-Constructive training initiatives
