Job Title: Data Management Specialist (eCRAFT – Professional, Analyst, Management II – ANM2)
Location: Dahlgren, Virginia (with potential support at NSWCDD detachment sites)
Clearance: IAT Level II (T3)

Position Overview:
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is seeking a highly skilled Data Management Specialist to provide comprehensive support for classified and unclassified IT and Information Management (IM) operations. This role involves archiving, auditing, logging, and preserving digital documents, creating and maintaining digital filing and retrieval systems, and responding to information requests in support of NSWCDD’s IT modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize documentation and data management systems.
• Collect, review, and analyze information to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Archive, log, audit, and preserve digital documents while ensuring compliance with Navy and DoD standards.
• Respond to information requests from government stakeholders efficiently and accurately.
• Design and maintain digital filing and retrieval systems for seamless access and organization of information.
• Support IT Service Management (ITSM) and Information Technology Experience Management (ITXM) initiatives.
• Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency, resource utilization, and digital transformation outcomes.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance standards.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience developing and maintaining documentation or data management systems.
• Experience working in a Windows environment and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business, technical, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of ITSM, IM, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and endpoint support is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ITIL®, DoD Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF), and PMBOK methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and report on complex datasets to inform recommendations.
• Experience supporting U.S. Navy programs or operations is preferred.

Additional Requirements:
• Ability to work on classified and unclassified networks.
• Favorably adjudicated personnel security investigation to support classified IT operations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail.
