You will be an Aircraft Mechanic II. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional results, and we're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Mechanic II to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
As an Aircraft Mechanic II, you will be responsible for:
• The Aircraft Mechanic II Technician provides advanced, independent maintenance, modification, and repair of mechanical systems on the SOF GLSS rotary‑wing fleets.
• The duties of this title will primarily perform tasks independently and play a wide-ranging role in guidance, technical instruction, and specific skill development of less experienced employees.
• This candidate will possess vast and comprehensive technical expertise and specialization for aircraft mechanical maintenance work.
• The duties will encompass complex problem solving, effective communication skills and broad knowledge within the scope of assignments, including maintenance in support of heavy modifications, thorough troubleshooting, and ensuring all work complies with airworthiness standards while supporting SOF‑specific mission requirements.
• The candidate will ensure optimal functionality of aircraft through scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections of all mechanical systems and components.
• Typical aircraft systems include landing gear, flight controls and surfaces, anti-icing systems, pneudraulic systems, engines, auxiliary power units, and ventilation and heating systems.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Aircraft Handling Knowledge - Proficient in safe grounding, mechanical related precautions, and aircraft handling procedures relevant to mechanical safety and security.
2. Maintenance Record Keeping - Ability to accurately document all maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in maintenance logs and military documentation systems, ensuring traceability.
3. Quality Verification - Demonstrated experience verifying that work meets required reliability, safety, and airworthiness standards.
4. Line Maintenance Experience - Capable of providing mechanical and flight operations support during flight‑line maintenance & testing operations, including routine troubleshooting and minor repairs.
5. Operational Flexibility - Effective both independently and as part of a team; adaptable to shift changes, travel, and deployment.
Desired Skills:
Specific Aircraft Experience / Proven maintenance on MH‑6 / MH-47 / MH‑60 platforms, including major modification support and SOF‑specific upgrades. Ability to transition between platforms to meet mission requirements.
Advanced mechanical experience with rigging and testing. Experience guiding less‑experienced technicians, reviewing work products, and providing technical direction. FAA A&P license, DoD/USG certifications, or equivalent military qualifications preferred.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
