Job Title: Equipment Operator General Foreman
Location: Chabelley, Djibouti
Compensation: $88,590
Requirements: Must be CAC eligible and possess a valid U.S. Passport
Job Summary:
The Equipment Operator General Foreman provides leadership, coordination, and operational support for one or more teams of Equipment Operators. This role involves overseeing daily equipment operations, allocating personnel and resources based on project priorities, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards, and performing equipment operation duties as needed. The General Foreman is responsible for maintaining workflow efficiency, communicating effectively with clients and project personnel, and ensuring proper maintenance and repair of assigned equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise one or more teams of Equipment Operators.
• Perform work as an Equipment Operator when required.
• Allocate equipment and personnel according to project priorities and deadlines.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for assigned equipment.
• Ensure safe work practices and full compliance with all safety requirements.
• Complete required administrative tasks, documentation, and reports.
• Operate light, medium, and some heavy equipment, as well as light to heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform skilled and semi-skilled duties associated with construction, operations, and maintenance activities.
• Operate equipment such as single-axle and dual-axle dump trucks (automatic and manual), loaders, rollers, compactors, tractors, sprayers, sweepers, plows, forklifts, backhoes, and other related equipment.
• Inspect equipment condition and report major mechanical issues; perform minor or emergency repairs as needed.
• Train less experienced personnel on equipment operation and care.
• Perform manual labor and other duties as required to support project operations.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four (4) to seven (7) years of related experience.
• Demonstrated job knowledge, skill level, and physical ability to perform assigned functions.
• Must be certified and able to operate required equipment.
• Must be CAC eligible and hold a valid U.S. Passport.
