Job Description
Overview
SOSi is actively looking for a dedicated Case Aide to support our team in Cambridge, MA at an emergency shelter and day center for unhoused families. The Case Aide will provide administrative support for data entry and other functions to assist case managers in delivering essential services to families in need.
Essential Job Duties
• Provide administrative support to Case Managers, including data entry and maintenance of client records.
• Assist in screening guests and identifying their specific needs.
• Explain shelter programs, services, and procedures to guests, and answer any general questions they may have.
• Support Case Managers, the Community Resource Manager, and the Education, Welfare, and Recreation Manager in coordinating services and resources for families.
• Assist with locating and coordinating long-term shelter or housing options for families transitioning out of the shelter.
• Record and update guest data, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential.
• Prepare and submit reports, and discuss any issues or concerns with supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bi-lingual Haitian Creole and English or Spanish and English strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role or within a social services setting.
• Familiarity with case management software and databases.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
