Duties
PRIMARY PURPOSE: To serve as Chief of the executive services section in HQ AF/A10 providing administrative, personnel, and budgetary support to a 3 -star Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) and 125 + staff members.
DUTIES:Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of AF/A1 m, ensuring that administrative, manpower, personnel, and budgetary processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Represents AF/Al O with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with DOD, SAF/AA, SAF/A: , SAF/FM, AFPC, AFDW, EEO, and other Federal agencies. Reviews, analyzes, and supports development of nuclear enterprise-wide programs and processes, such as the Nuclear Mission Assessment (NMA), Key Nuclear Billet Program (KNB), the Personnel Reliability Assurance Program, and others. Oversees the development, management, and execution of the DCS budget of approximately $l SM as well as the DCS Program Objective Memorandum submission.

In order to qualify, you must meet the SPECIALIZED experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions- Management and Program Analysis Series (0343)
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 (or higher) grade level or equivalent (may have been obtained in the federal service, military, or public sector). Examples of specialized experience include Comprehensive knowledge of Air Force military and civilian personnel processes and policies and a working knowledge of personnel support systems such as the Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS) for HQ USAF/A1 0; Knowledge and experience with Headquarters Air Force and Pentagon resource allocation and administrative processes; Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for a) the assessment of threat delivery concepts, agents, agent behaviors, contaminant mitigation strategies and decontamination technologies; and b) improvement of Service level plans and programs for conducting operations in a CBRN environment.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

- Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on military and commercial aircraft.
- Must exhibit a high degree of judgement, resourcefulness, originality, and the ability to foresee the impact of changing technology.
- Must be able to work outside normal working hours and on weekends.
