Core4ce is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Computing Engineer with extensive experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud to help design, build, sustain and enhance a complex data analytics environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical advisor to clients, providing guidance on cloud architecture, security, compliance, and operational best practices and be extremely knowledgeable about core AWS native services. Familiarity with AI/ML and DevOps native functions within AWS is a major plus, as these are high-priority enhancements desired by the customer. The candidate will also be expected to work closely with customers to balance capacity/sizing and cost considerations for cloud-hosted assets.

Responsibilities:
- Implement cloud solutions that align with customer requirements, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with Product, Customer Success, and Support teams to coordinate the fielding of new services to solve complex customer challenges
- Perform and oversee core AWS system administration functions, to include system provisioning, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, and security compliance.
- Utilizing Infrastructure as Code and FinOps automation, maximize the automation of routine tasks to deliver efficiencies and reduce costs.
- Review existing AWS GovCloud infrastructure for right-sizing requirements focused on high availability and cost savings
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for complex tasks and use cases that can be utilized for training of more junior engineers and customer staff.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and administration
- Ability to hold a Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- Must have obtained an AWS technical certification such as but not limited to AWS Solution Architect - Associate/Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer, etc.
- Extensive experience deploying and managing AWS core services such as EC2, S3/EFS, RDS, CloudTrail/IAM, Lambda, Route 53, and SNS
- Familiarity with AWS-supported container services such as Elastic Container Service (ECS), Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), and Elastic Container Registry (ECR).
- Familiarity with AWS native AI-driven services such as Bedrock & Lex
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management within cloud environments.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with CI/CD & containerization concepts and tools
- Familiarity performing basic server administration in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Previous experience working with DoD/Federal clients, ideally in a client-facing or consulting capacity.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to customer success.
