You will help build platforms that scale to thousands of users while ensuring the underlying infrastructure is secure, stable, and developer-friendly.
Role Focus:
1. Serve as an advocate and champion for software development teams, ensuring DevOps services enhance productivity
2. Design, build, and operationalize cloud-based engineering solutions supporting CI/CD and secure software delivery
3. Collaborate with developers, security teams, and infrastructure engineers to improve architecture and workflows
4. Lead cybersecurity patching, STIG hardening, and secure-configuration automation
5. Explore and apply emerging AI coding practices to streamline development and improve code quality
Desired Experience (minimum 4–6 years):
1. Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Ansible) for deployment and configuration
2. Experience with software development workflows (Git, Merge Requests, Peer Reviews, Testing)
3. Deep understanding of cloud platforms
1. AWS preferred
2. Azure or Google Cloud acceptable
4. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling such as terraform, ansible, cloudformation, or Azure resource manager
5. Hands-on experience with cybersecurity patching, STIG hardening, and compliance automation
6. Passion for integration and working with diverse toolchains, APIs, and services
7. Interest or experience in AI-assisted development practices
8. Ability to partner across teams to solve integration issues and deliver reusable solutions
Technical Areas of Growth:

2. Kubernetes and container orchestration
3. DevOps pipelines, automated testing, and shift-left security
4. AI-assisted engineering tools and secure-by-default development practices
Location:
1. This position is 100% onsite at our Washington, DC office
2. No remote work is available
