Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Space Force - MUOS - Advanced Software Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will be a responsible for solving complex systems problems by analyzing both code and UML models used for code generation. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Position: Space Force - MUOS - Advanced Software Engineer
Contract: 24 months or longer
Pay: $68.34/hour

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a software engineer for the Space Force MUOS Program, you'll be a member of a cross functional team. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team working on a real-time embedded project. The successful candidate will be responsible for solving complex systems problems by analyzing both code and UML models used for code generation.

What sets you apart:
  • Experience in software engineering, with a focus on real-time embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++.
  • Strong understanding of UML and experience with model-based design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain or hold a DoD Secret clearance (preferred at time of hire).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Familiarity with hardware interfaces and protocols.
  • Knowledge of cellular telecommunications protocols and systems (UMTS) a plus
