Summary
The Supervisor is responsible for providing first-line oversight and leadership to Contract Security Officers (CSOs) assigned to the Department of War that will operate in the National Capital Region. This role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality security services in accordance with the contract, post orders, and applicable laws and regulations. Supervisors are accountable for ensuring personnel readiness, professionalism, and compliance with all contractual and operational standards. While acting in a supervisory capacity, individuals may not simultaneously perform the duties of a Contract Security Officer (CSO). Appointment to this position is contingent upon government approval.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

This role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality security services in accordance with the contract, post orders, and applicable laws and regulations. Supervisors are accountable for ensuring personnel readiness, professionalism, and compliance with all contractual and operational standards. While acting in a supervisory capacity, individuals may not simultaneously perform the duties of a Contract Security Officer (CSO). Appointment to this position is contingent upon government approval.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor day-to-day activities of CSOs to ensure proper performance and post coverage.
- Enforce adherence to all contract terms, post orders, and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of security personnel and posts to verify compliance.
- Maintain open communication with the Program Management Team regarding personnel performance, post issues, or operational concerns.
- Ensure supervisors do not provide relief or act in a dual capacity as CSOs while performing supervisory duties.
- Support corrective action plans, employee evaluations, and training initiatives.
- Respond to incidents and provide on-site leadership during critical situations.
- Be able to compose in the English language precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports as necessary.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in law enforcement or a security-related field,showing a successful history of increasing levels of responsability.
- At least three (3) years must be in a supervisory capacity with a record of exceptional service.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret to Top Secret/SCI security clearance and meet all government suitability standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Must be able to effectively train, evaluate, and guide CSOs in accordance with contract standards.
- Must maintain all certifications and credentials required by contract, local, and state regulations.
- Be able to read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders,instructions, and training materials.
- Must be able to pass Physical Abilities Test.
- Must be able to pass Medical and Physical Screening.
- Must be able to pass Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) (Behavioral Analysis).
- Must be a US Citizen
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook
- Must write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; vary writing style to meet needs; present numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information
