NSWCPD Machinery Controls Systems (MCS) team is seeking an Engineering Services Agent to support waterfront efforts for hardware/software installation, modification and removal. The primary role of the candidate will be to provide general assistance for engineering control systems. The candidate will also be required to support shipboard efforts to diagnose and troubleshoot ethernet IP/profibus equipment on the USS Zumwalt class destroyers. This includes configuring, monitoring, and testing of MCS hardware/software. The candidate should have experience as an electrical technician and the ability to troubleshoot control systems with the use of system documentation and electrical schematics. The candidate will be expected to provide documented status updates on a regular basis.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development, design, and testing of electrical components, mechanical systems, equipment, systems, and devices to meet various technological needs and applications within organizations
- Supporting engineers in the design, modification, and improvement of components and processes, identifying and recommending improvements and preventive actions, and inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment, components and systems
- Monitoring processes and equipment in operation and training/supporting Ships' Force on installation, repair, modification and operations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and resolve technical issues
- Perform technical operations, analysis, and quality testing
- Perform standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability and timeliness to ensure performance is met in production processes
Required Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelors degree and 1 year of experience as an Electrical Technician (troubleshooting electrical, networking, systems, and controls equipment)
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree will also consider an Associates and 3 years, or High School Diploma or Trade/Industrial School Diploma (or GED Equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years experience in engineering principles, technologies, and tools to support engineering projects and operations across various domains
- 2 years experience in engineering and technical operations to undertake analysis, design, and development activities to improve services
- Must be a US Citizen and have an active security clearance or ability to obtain an active security clearance.
- Up to 20% travel required to support ongoing shipboard efforts
- Must be willing spend first few weeks in Philadelphia for training.
- Physical requirements (ability to lift 50Ibs, manuever in difficult spaces...)
Desired Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance preferred
- Prior experience with Profibus/Fieldbus
- Prior experience working within the DoD
