Hiring for an Enterprise Requirements Engineer to support a high-visibility federal program. This senior-level role serves as the technical bridge between program leadership, stakeholders, project managers, and development teams. The Enterprise Requirements Engineer ensures complex mission requirements are decomposed, clarified, prioritized, aligned, and architected across multiple initiatives—eliminating siloed development and improving enterprise efficiency.
This position is responsible for shaping technical direction across major IT modernization and cyber programs, ensuring requirements are translated into actionable engineering plans and cross-program architectures. Candidates must be adept at influencing enterprise-level decisions, conducting technical deep dives, and aligning requirements across multiple functional domains.
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise requirements definition across multiple large-scale IT and cybersecurity projects.
Translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements, engineering artifacts, and cross-program implementation plans.
Coordinate with project managers, developers, system engineers, and mission leadership to ensure enterprise alignment.
Analyze overlapping requirements and consolidate them into unified, reusable engineering directives.
Develop enterprise roadmaps, workflow diagrams, integration plans, and cross-project requirement traceability.
Ensure all requirements adhere to DoD, Air Force, and customer-specific architectural guidelines.
Facilitate working groups, technical exchanges, and requirement decomposition sessions.
Support enterprise architecture documentation, including reference architectures and capability frameworks.
Drive consistency across teams by developing repeatable requirements processes and tools.
Minimum Qualifications
BS + 12 years, MS + 10 years, or PhD + 7 years in:
Information Technology,
Computer Science,
Cybersecurity,
Information Systems,
Software Engineering,
Data Science
(OR an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
One active certification (must upload copy):
CISSO
CISSP-ISSAP
CISSP-ISSEP
GCIA
GCLD
GCSA
GICSP
Expertise communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Strong understanding of:
AWS & Azure cloud fundamentals
DoDAF (DoD Architecture Framework)
Microservices / SOA principles
Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
SDLC and enterprise engineering workflows
Experience gathering, decomposing, and aligning technical requirements across multiple teams
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and requirements modeling tools
Familiarity with security and compliance constraints for enterprise systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience architecting requirements for mission-critical DoD or cyber programs
Prior experience integrating large systems across multi-discipline teams
Experience in enterprise-scale modernization and digital transformation efforts
Ability to influence technical direction at the leadership level
