What You Will Be Doing
Candidate responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle, including system and software design and collaboration and automation tooling and infrastructure improvements. Work will include a multitude of host systems, including aircraft software, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.
- Lead a team of software developers focused on test script development and supporting system level testing
- Develop and evolve automated testing infrastructure for software suites, including hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HITL) and simulation environments.
- Develop, integrate, support, and debug software
- Support the virtual development labs and aircraft software processes
- Drive Agile ceremonies - daily scrums, sprint reviews, technical demos - and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external customers
- Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, helping them quickly identify and implement automation solutions

Basic Qualifications:
- Strong programming experience in Python
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks
- Experience in a system and/or software test role
- Active Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
- Real‑time simulation software development and integration.
- Experience with Git SCM, container orchestration, and infrastructure‑as‑code (Ansible).
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, Agile SW development, and CI/CD best practices.
- Exposure to cloud computing platforms and flight‑simulation technologies.
- Ability to work on air‑gapped, classified networks and integrate COTS tools in novel ways.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
