Description:The Skunk Works is looking for a software engineer to be part of a team building air vehicle systems. The candidate will use existing and developing skills in a variety of software programming languages and tools, such as C, C++, Python, XML, Visual Studio, Eclipse, and VxWorks. Candidate may build software for air vehicle systems, ground systems, and/or modeling and simulation systems that support production and research and development.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience programming in at least one computer programming language (e.g. C, C++, Python, or Java)
Must be a US citizen.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience with the following:
• Development of real-time systems or use of real-time operating systems (RTOS), such as Wind River VxWorks or Green Hills Integrity
• The software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
• Integrating hardware and software
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between software, hardware, and systems engineering.
• Experience working in DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with configuration management tools like Gitlab/Github
• Experience working on an agile software team
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Experience with MBSE (Tools like Cameo, modeling standards such as UML, UAF, SysML, etc.)
• Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
• Strong decision making and judgment
• Oral and written communication skills

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
