Signal Processing Engineer
Candidate must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Program Description: This program is a multi-phase initiative that has been underway since 1996 to improve the U.S. Navy's submarine sonar systems. The program uses commercial computer equipment to replace central processors with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) computer technology and software, while retaining legacy sensors. This role will have you working in a classified lab environment.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Perform analysis for signal processing applications, using tools such as MATLAB.
Process and interpret complex signal data to support system performance assessments.
Develop, test, and refine models and algorithms to improve signal detection and characterization.
Support sensor integration, testing, and troubleshooting for undersea systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
Contribute to verification and validation efforts for signal processing components and subsystems.
