We're seeking a motivated and collaborative engineer-whether early-career or experienced-who is passionate about composites, polymer chemistry, failure analysis, and solving real-world production challenges.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work in a casual, professional environment with multi-disciplinary teams delivering cutting-edge aerospace solutions.
- Split your time between office, lab, and production floor-see your ideas move from test to flight.
- Apply chemistry, physics, and material science to develop and qualify composite materials and processing methods.
- Provide technical evaluation and support for composite part fabrication.
- Perform root-cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions for material and process issues.
- Create and execute test plans, write reports, and contribute to specifications for materials, tools, and processes.
- Guide material testing in the Materials & Processes Laboratory.
- Collaborate with Design, Production, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement teams.
- Integrate new technologies and promote standardization across product lines.
- Manage test/audit programs, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and incorporate EHS, LEAN, and Quality principles into your work.
- Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance. (Requires US Citizenshio)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science. (STEM)
- Level 2: Bachelor's + 2 years' experience or Master's degree
- Level 3: Bachelor's + 5 years' experience or Master's + 3 years
- Active Secret Clearance
- 1+ years working with composites, elastomers, and associated processing techniques
- Hands-on lab experience with polymer chemistry analytical techniques
- Familiarity with materials such as epoxy, cyanate ester, bismaleimide, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, and adhesives
- Experience with composite failure modes and failure analysis
- Strong skills in technical writing, including specifications, reports, and test plans
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use Microsoft Office
- Experience delivering technical presentations and briefings
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment
