Job Description
Embedded within the LM-BAES-NGC Sustainment enterprise, this role leads development and support of software products and deployment of Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel into the Sustainment team supporting the Global Fleet of F-35 aircraft (A, B & C variants). A key member of the Software and Depot Operations Services Management Team working for the Sustainment Director - Software and Depot Operations Services (SDOS).
Due to the competitive nature of the F-35 program this role requires an individual that can be agile and strategically astute in order to secure our position on the program for the long term.
This role is a senior operational representative of BAE Systems and is in a strategically significant customer environment where BAE Systems has significant growth aspirations.
The role requires an element of business travel within the US and overseas as the role interfaces directly with Industry partners and the Joint Program Office (JPO) at a senior level taking operational control and responsibility for an organization consisting of over 80 employees.
Key responsibilities are:
• Responsible forthe General Management of F-35 Software through full project lifecycle.
• Management and support to Service Evolution campaigns to grow workshare related to area of responsibility.
• Responsible for the operational area inputs to the proposal generation process.
• Responsible for the delivery of financials (orders, sales,profit, margin,cash, etc.) in line with Integrated Business Plan (IBP) commitments.
• Responsibility and ownership of Software Contract Status Review (CSR).
• Lead an integrated team responsible for ensuring best in class delivery of contractual requirements to customer.
• Develops enterprise level measures and a suite of appropriate Performance Indicators to provide world class support across the Global Fleet.
• Identifies opportunities for capability growth and business development leveraging the expertise and experience of BAE Systems in the provision of Sustainment services contributing to the transition of the service that BAE Systems provides LM.
• Ensures the organization addresses audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide advice and support to help close issues. Generate,deliver and implement effective improvements to overcome any non-compliance and monitor effectiveness.
• Support the transformation of how software is developed and delivered on the F-35 program with specific consideration for the latest thinking around DevSecOps - Consider implications of current governance structures.
• Provide monthly reports of resource across operational area, including forward demand and resource solutions
• Provides inputs to the Safety Compliance & Assurance Reviews to assure the organization of its Safety and Quality Management performance.
• Leads compliance with all applicable contractual requirements.
• Close working relationship with the other Operations Leads and the Business Lead.

Full-Time Salary Range: $133333 - $226667

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of work experience or equivalent.
- Prior experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry.
- Strategic Vision with an understanding of how to develop opportunities to increase.
- Experience on F-35 or similar program at a senior level interfacing with partners,various branches.
- Strategic Vision with an understanding of how to develop opportunities to increase Order Intake.
- Drive, influence and deliver in a complex international environment and in full compliance of PE, SSA and Export Control guidelines.
- Detailed knowledge in Program Management and Project Control with proven experience of leading projects and programs.
- Knowledge of Availability Contracting concepts and major programs to enable effective best practice sharing and opportunity development.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience on F-35 or similar program at a senior level interfacing with partners, various branches of the military and the JPO.
- Knowledge and experience of the Warfighter community that operate the F-35 Weapons Platform and how they utilize their equipment.
- Knowledge of the relationship between the Warfighter, industrypartners and regulatory authorities thatoperate within each of the customer territories in which F-35s are based and operated.
- Experience resolving problems in which there are implications in US acquisition, US regulatory and F-35 contracting arrangements.
