Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Network Engineer to assist in delivering technical presentations to customer staff, assist with designing and configure or develop configuration or settings as required for selected customer network systems in Springfield, Virginia. They will be responsible for being directly involved in the hands-on implementation of customer network systems, and to meet with customers to capture specific requirements in concise format.

Responsibilities for the Network Engineer:
- Diagnose and resolve network outages and system failures.
- Provide mentorship and training to Tier 1 and Tier 2 staff.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Networking teams, Microsoft leadership, and on-shift personnel.
- Configure network devices via CLI, deploy patches, and optimize Layer 2/3 protocols.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommend process improvements.
Required Qualifications for the Network Engineer:
- 5+ years demonstrated performance in network engineering technology, with a bachelor's degree or industry equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated expertise with WAN/Internet transport and routing technologies, such as BGP, MPLS, and SD-WAN, to be able to assist product level experts in network operations and sustainment.
- Expertise in working with & troubleshooting cloud network technologies such as ExpressRoute and Azure Virtual Networks.
- Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility
Compensation for the Network Engineer:
- Salary range: $140,000 - $180,000 *depending on experience*
