Contract Position

Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance

A Software Engineer position is available in Scottsdale, Arizona, with Moseley Technical Services, a top Aerospace and Defense company. As an Advanced Software Engineer, you will be responsible for Linux Driver Development for the next generation of Cryptographic and Cross Domain Solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the software development lifecycle for cryptographic systems and secure communication platforms.
• Design and implement Linux kernel drivers for embedded systems
• Integrate solutions on Xilinx SoCs, including Zynq Ultrascale+ and Versal, using PetaLinux
• Apply kernel-level debugging techniques to support low-level driver and system performance
• Support development with Linux networking and routing configurations
• Propose and implement high-quality, high-performing solutions with minimal input
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and firmware teams in an Agile development environment
• Champion technology innovations and process improvements
• Contribute to the professional development of team members through mentoring and technical leadership

Qualifications:

• U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, and 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 3+ years of job-related experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing Linux Kernel Drivers for embedded systems
• Skilled in kernel driver debugging techniques required
• Capable of proposing high-quality and high-performing solutions with minimal input
• Ability to lead the software development process

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Petalinux/Xilinx SoC (Zynq Ultrascale+/Versal) is a plus
• Experience with Linux Networking/Routing a plus
• Experience with Docker and podman on Linux is a plus
• Experience with Windriver Linux is a plus
