Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Fort Bragg, NC. This role requires a versatile professional capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a dynamic DoD environment. The ideal candidate will have strong networking expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure with a focus on routing, switching, and security.
Manage and troubleshoot Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls, including policy configuration, packet capture, and HA management.
Administer wireless networks (preferably Aruba, but vendor-agnostic experience is acceptable).
Support and optimize network protocols and technologies such as:
BGP
VRF
MPLS
ACLs
IPv4/IPv6
Utilize Cisco DNA Center for network automation and monitoring.
Collaborate on projects with DoD compliance requirements, including STIGs.
Provide technical support for VMware environments.
Ensure high availability and performance across all network systems.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Certification:
CCNP (CCNA considered for exceptional candidates).
Level II DoD 8570 certification such as Security+ CE, CySA+, CASP+ CE, etc.
Experience: 5+ years in network engineering roles.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls.
Working knowledge of wireless administration.
Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center and VMware.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage heavy workloads efficiently.
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Clearance: Must have an active SECRET clearance.
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in DoD environments and familiarity with organizations such as NETCOM, GCC, and ARCYBER.
Knowledge of DoD STIGs and compliance processes.
