Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern as a Quality Engineer. In this role, you will analyze data, assess risk at various levels, and grow quality science toolbox. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of data analysis and MS Office.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to create reports, analyze data, and present information clearly and effectively in both academic and professional settings.
Working knowledge of qualitative analytics, including data interpretation, process evaluation, and application of analytical methods to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Skills:
Green Belt Certified, with a strong foundation in Lean Six Sigma principles, process improvement, and data-driven problem solving.
Experienced in performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing Corrective Actions to resolve quality issues, prevent recurrence, and enhance operational efficiency.
Skilled in analyzing failure data and performance metrics to identify trends, evaluate process reliability, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing and quality systems.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
