GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level at the GS-09 level. Experience analyzing the impact on the maintenance mission and the results of corrective actions. Experience, training, or knowledge repairing written reports of analyses and studies. Experience, training or knowledge of the Aircraft Predictive Model (APM). Training or knowledge controlling, developing, and coordinating maintenance data systems and requirements. Knowledge and skill applying analytical and evaluative methods concerning effectiveness of maintenance operations and planning. Knowledge of permit laws regulations and policies which affect the use of a program and related support resources and requires knowledge of the program goals and objectives. Experience or training collecting specific metrics and compiling reports for data validation. Have skills or knowledge to develop methods for improving maintenance planning and programming procedures to ensure optimum use of maintenance resources

To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-10 Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the line of work.
For the GS-10 level: To qualify on education alone applicant must have one of the following: completed or in-progress Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Excess of 2 full years of higher level graduate education.
Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-10 including for combination of education and specialized experience.

- Retrieve and analyze maintenance data, present results to management. Interprets findings from maintenance data and the use of statistical techniques.
- Controls, manages and maintains the Maintenance Information System(s) (MIS).
- Conducts Special Studies to assess Health of the Unit Readiness (HUR).
- Analyzes performance data to determine manpower, equipment, and facilities maintenance capabilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
