Job Description

The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.

At the BAE Aerospace Manufacturing Center (AMC) location in Westminster, CO, we develop and manufacture state of the art tactical technologies including stealth antennas, electronic warfare platforms, and multispectral imaging systems. Technological developments are driving rapid expansion of our manufacturing capabilities to support customer demands. You will get to work with state-of-the-art military, space, and tactical equipment. The role is hands-on, technically challenging, and allows you to contribute to impactful projects with exciting missions. Working alongside highly skilled people including engineers and technicians where there is space to learn and grow. This position will support the Westminster Environmental Stress Screening work center performing thermal and vibration testing.

What You'll Do:
  • Environmental Testing & Hardware Processing
    • Perform Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) testing, including vibration and thermal profiles, in accordance with customer requirements and program specifications.
    • Process hardware ranging from early prototypes to full-rate production units, ensuring the highest standards of care and accuracy.
    • Conduct tests while monitoring, analyzing, reducing, and recording data with precision. Perform necessary mathematical calculations to support test results and reports.
  • Technical Reporting & Compliance
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic build records, data logs, test reports, and documentation in alignment with BAE Systems procedures and applicable government regulations.
    • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance expectations.
  • Troubleshooting & Advanced Test Execution
    • Troubleshoot both thermal and vibration test systems, applying growing technical knowledge to identify, diagnose, and resolve testing anomalies.
    • Execute higher-complexity tests such as sine sweeps, shock testing, and humidity testing as you advance in the role.
  • Teamwork, Communication & Continuous Improvement
    • Demonstrate effective, professional communication with team members, leadership, customers, and internal/external auditors.
    • Be an engaged team member contributing actively to ESS Tier-1 meetings. Take ownership of issues and ideas, driving them through to completion.
    • Offer suggestions and participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance lab efficiency and safety.
    • Be open and receptive to feedback, supporting a positive and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Cross-Training & Collaboration
    • Show a willingness and ability to cross-train in other test labs (e.g., autoclave, adhesive cutting, etch labs, paint, or other specialized labs) to expand your skills and support broader business needs.
    • Collaborate effectively across departments, Strategic Business Units, and Strategic Capabilities Units, consistently contributing to a productive and inclusive working environment.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
  • Will work in production work centers where use of personal protective equipment is required.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Solid computer skills (word docs, spreadsheets, file management, etc.)
  • Willingness and ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Mechanical aptitude, with solid dexterity and hand/eye coordination to work with hand tools
  • Willing to work overtime when needed, this may include weekday mornings, evenings and/or weekends
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, test requirements, and engineering documentation
  • Solid attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and interpret test data
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to lift and handle hardware per safety standards
  • Willingness to work in a laboratory environment involving vibration, thermal chambers, and mechanical fixtures
  • Ability to work in a process-controlled environment
  • Ability to execute to technical process specifications and procedures, maintain accurate records and comply with established processes.

A DoD Interim Secret clearance will be required to start work and required to be maintained to continue work. Higher level clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

  • General understanding of calibrated equipment.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $46680 - $74687

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
