Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership, accountability and expertise to ensure all IT and cyber systems across a large, complex, heterogeneous, geographically dispersed enterprise meet user mission requirements, are seamless, interoperable, integrated, and defensible, considering both technical and human factors.
- Functional activities include user/requirements research, designing/enhancing user interfaces, usability testing, evaluating/updating instructions and training, identifying design problems and developing solutions.
- Collaborate with a team of technical experts, leaders and users using techniques such as wireframing, prototyping, and iterative design to create, manage and optimize the client's User Experience for all deployed systems.
- Analyze IT telemetry data, e.g., page views, events/errors, user journey inside applications, etc., to identify UX problems and develop/recommend courses of action to improve UX. Recommend data collection strategies to capture potential UX degradation/challenges.
- Collaborate with stakeholders internal to the team and with the government to maximize the usability and performance of all systems.
- Aid in complying with all federal accessibility regulations, including but not limited to Section 508.
- Collect and analyze data from humans and technical sensors to aid in improving User Experience. Develop and employ insights gathered from analysis to mitigate issues.
- Prepare and deliver information regarding User Experience to government and contractor leadership as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or related field OR a minimum of 10 years of relevant User Experience work history.
- Five (5+) or more years of experience using data driven methods developing/enhancing intuitive, adaptive User Experiences, solving user-centric problems and providing User Experience services like those described in the Responsibilities section above.
- Demonstrated experience collecting and analyzing IT telemetry data to identify UX problems and develop/recommend courses of action to improve UX. Recommend data collection strategies to anticipate and proactively mitigate potential UX degradation/challenges.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing the root cause of UX problems such as latency that may be due to poor software design, inadequate network infrastructure or misconfiguration, or other technical causes.
- Experience delivering concrete, positive, user-centric outcomes that measurably improved User Satisfaction and/or system performance.
- Superior written and oral communications skills and experience interacting with senior executives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3+) or more years of experience implementing User Experience for a program in the Department of Defense or the federal government.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
