Description
Vistra Communications, an award-winning integrated marketing, communications and consulting agency, is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Creative Services to lead the next chapter of Vistra's creative evolution. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, this leader will define the creative vision, guide multidisciplinary teams and deliver ideas that move audiences, strengthen brands and drive measurable impact.
The Director of Creative Services will oversee the agency's full creative function including branding, campaigns, digital experiences, video production, experiential and advertising. This position is based in Lutz, FL and requires working onsite at Vistra HQ a minimum of four days per week, with one optional remote day.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Leadership & Strategy
• Inspires bold, integrated creative strategies that connect brand purpose with audience action
• Leads concept development from ideation through execution across digital, social, video, experiential and traditional channels
• Shapes Vistra's creative philosophy and visual identity, ensuring all work reflects the agency's values and advances its reputation for innovative, strategy-driven creative
• Partners with client and internal leadership to align creative direction with business goals and campaign objectives
• Presents creative rationale, strategic recommendations and innovative ideas to clients and agency leadership
• Collaborates closely with account management, strategy, communications, media and production teams to deliver cohesive, high-performing campaigns
• Serves as a creative voice in key client meetings, new business pitches and strategic planning sessions
• Oversees creative resourcing, workflows, timelines and quality standards to ensure timely and effective delivery without compromising innovation
Innovation & Creative Evolution
• Guides the ongoing evolution of creative capabilities including digital-first design, motion and video storytelling, social content systems, AI-assisted development and emerging platforms
• Explores new creative tools, technologies and partnerships to enhance the agency's output and efficiency
• Stays current on design trends, cultural insights and platform shifts to inform creative strategies and maintain relevance
Team Leadership & Development
• Leads, mentors and develops a multidisciplinary creative team, providing direction, coaching and inspiration
• Fosters an inclusive, collaborative environment where creativity thrives and diverse perspectives fuel exceptional ideas
• Provides constructive feedback that strengthens creative quality, alignment and performance
• Supports career growth and continuous learning for creative team members
• Actively pursues and presents opportunities for process and quality improvement

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in design, advertising, marketing, creative direction or a related field required
- Minimum of 10 years of creative and leadership experience, preferably in an agency environment
- Proven experience leading creative teams and developing strategically driven campaigns across multiple channels
- Demonstrated success creating work for corporate, nonprofit and government clients
- Experience developing creative across integrated formats including digital, social, video and experiential
- Strong creative leadership with the ability to inspire and elevate creative excellence
- Deep understanding of brand systems, visual identity and campaign development
- Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills
- Skilled at giving and receiving feedback that drives continuous improvement
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
