Test Engineer
Country Intelligence Group is seeking a full time Test Engineer to support the analysis, testing, and validation of complex systems. The selected candidate will review system requirements and technical documentation to develop test plans, conduct data collection and analysis, and report results. Responsibilities include in-depth troubleshooting, resolving complex bugs escalated from L1/L2 support, implementing detailed test procedures, and performing advanced debugging requiring specialized technical knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, be proficient with diagnostic tools, and work independently to address intricate system issues.
Tasks Performed:
• Analyzes system requirements, CONOPS documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures.
• Prepares for and conducts test data collection, performs detailed analysis, and reports test status and results.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues and bugs escalated from Level 1 support.
• Implements test plans, executes test cases, and validates system functionality against requirements.
• Performs in-depth debugging of intricate issues requiring specialized technical knowledge.
• Utilizes advanced tools and technical expertise to independently complete assigned testing and analysis tasks.
• Conducts deep technical investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions beyond basic support levels.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• Minimum High School Diploma/GED with at least 20 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Systems with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, resolving complex bugs escalated from L1/L2, implementing test plans, and handling detailed testing.
• Strong technical knowledge.
• Familiarity with tools.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, and debug intricate issues.
• Experience in:
o Linux / Unix command-line
o Scripting (Bash)
o Unit
o Container Monitoring - e.g. Prometheus, Grafana
o CI, Test Automation - e.g. GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins X
o Apache NiFi
o Jira
Other Job Requirements:
• Minimum Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
• U.S. Citizenship, and successful background check.
