Responsibilities of the SolarWind Admin/Engineer include:
- Administer and optimize SolarWinds platforms (NPM, NCM, SAM) by installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining modules for performance and reliability.
- Integrate SolarWinds with ServiceNow and other ITSM tools, designing automated ticketing workflows and creating scripts for alert-to-ticket processes.
- Develop custom dashboards, alerts, and reports to enhance system visibility and support proactive incident response across federal hosting environments.
- Ensure high availability and security of SolarWinds infrastructure, supporting related services such as DNS, Identity & Access Management, and network operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate monitoring requirements into technical solutions, conducting user studies and implementing improvements for operational efficiency.
Qualifications for the SolarWind Admin/Engineer include:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SolarWinds platforms (including NPM, NCM, SAM) in enterprise or federal environments.
- Proven ability to integrate SolarWinds with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools, including designing automated workflows and data exchange processes.
- Strong technical background in IT infrastructure monitoring, networking fundamentals, and Windows/Linux systems administration.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation, alert-to-ticket processes, and system integrations.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Compensation for the SolarWind Admin/Engineer include:
- Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave as required by law, and Holidays
