The Systems Analyst supports the C2BMC program by performing detailed analysis of complex system behaviors, algorithms, and performance in a large distributed missile defense command and control environment. This role is highly analytical and technical, working closely with software engineers, systems engineers, product owners, and program leadership.
You will analyze large data sets, logs, and algorithm outputs; troubleshoot issues; develop tools to support analysis; and clearly present your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on data analysis, problem-solving, and working at the intersection of systems and software.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in-depth analysis of system behavior, algorithm performance, and functional correctness.
Investigate anomalies, identify root causes, and support resolution with software and systems teams.
Develop and run analysis tools, scripts, and log parsers (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Bash, Java).
Create and execute analysis plans for complex test scenarios and large data sets.
Interface with other product teams to resolve problems and improve system efficiency.
Support scenario development to reproduce behaviors or performance conditions.
Prepare and present analysis results, findings, and recommendations to engineers, leaders, and customer representatives.
Work within an Agile Scrum environment, participating in team ceremonies and backlog refinement.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of systems and software engineering principles and lifecycles.
Experience performing data analysis on complex algorithms, including performance and behavior evaluation.
Hands-on experience using tools such as:
Python, MATLAB, Java, Bash
Linux command line
Spreadsheets/databases for analysis
Ability to develop tools and scripts (log parsers, analysis utilities) to automate and standardize evaluations.
Ability to read and understand Java, C++, and/or Fortran code sufficiently to support analysis.
Experience with DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, or other project/requirements management tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present technical results clearly.
Preferred / Desired
Prior C2BMC experience.
Experience with missile defense battle management, intercept engagements, space domain awareness, or command & control (C2) systems.
Familiarity with:
GIT
CI/CD pipelines
Sensor tracking
ICDs
Spatial coordinate frames and conversions
Prior experience analyzing large data sets using statistical and time-series techniques.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office products.
Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks.
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in:
Computer Science
Mathematics
Physics
Aerospace Engineering
Or related technical field
Minimum 5+ years of related work experience.
Master’s degree preferred with 3+ years of experience.
