Support high-visibility United States Space Force (USSF) training operations as an Operations Research Analyst, Lessons Learned Journeyman at Schriever SFB, CO. In this role, you will serve as the Operations Research Analyst, Lessons Learned Specialist for the 392nd Combat Training Squadron (392 CTS), enabling continuous improvement across major USSF exercises. Your work will directly shape future training capabilities, operational readiness, and mission execution for Space Force Guardians.

Essential Duties
Lessons Learned Program Development & Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain the 392 CTS Lessons Learned (LL) and Continuous Process Improvement programs.
- Establish and manage relationships with internal and external LL stakeholders to support data sharing and best-practice integration.
Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting
- Design and execute data collection methods-including assessments, surveys, and analytical tools-across 392 CTS-led exercises.
- Capture, analyze, and report observations and lessons learned from SPACE FLAG, POLARIS HAMMER, Flashpoint, SKIES, and other mission-focused events.
- Produce after-action reports, trip reports, meeting minutes, and other exercise-related documentation within required timelines.
Exercise Support & Integration
- Recommend improvements to exercise design, planning, execution, and assessment processes.
- Participate in STARCOM's annual and quarterly Exercise Coordination Team (ECT) meetings.
- Attend USSF exercise-related planning and coordination meetings as requested by the Government.
- Support hot washes, debriefs, and reporting following all service-level exercises and events.
Mission Support
- Execute additional tasks assigned by contract leadership to ensure 392 CTS mission success.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of space-related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis, interpretation, and the ability to produce actionable insights from large datasets.
- Proficiency with exercise planning and reporting tools, such as:
- Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS)
- Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS)
- Joint Master Scenario Events List (JMSEL)
- Ability to travel up to 4-5 weeks per year.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in operations research, data analysis, or lessons learned programs.
- Experience supporting DoD organizations, with 7-15 years relevant experience strongly preferred.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience may be combined for total years of experience.
Required Clearance
- Top Secret / SCI clearance with SAP eligibility (must be active or immediately attainable).
Travel
- Limited travel required (approximately 4-5 weeks per year).
