Description of Duties:
The Senior IT Project Manager supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Be responsible for planning, executing, and closing complex IT projects within defined scope, budget, and timeline.
o This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively lead project teams and communicate with both project stakeholders and executive Government and IRES leadership.
• Will ensure that assigned projects are delivered to consistently exceed expectations.
• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for assigned projects, leading a team of IT professionals to deliver required MDA Transformation Task Force (TF)/Chief Information Officer (CIO) products, services, and support to ensure success.
• Lead all required architects/engineers (with technical insight) across enterprise IT spectrum, Cybersecurity professionals, and other personnel to ensure efficient solution design, project deliverable delivery, change management, and delivery of required products, services, and support.
• Act as the primary interface for assigned projects to all stakeholders and IRES leadership.
• Apply project management life-cycle principles and practices within an IT environment.
• Apply technical knowledge to lead architects/engineers through the Systems Engineering Management Process to implement complex IT solutions.
• Apply business acumen to understand/manage government contract actions, budgets, and costs.

Basic Requirements:
• Must have 14, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
o May be reduced with completion of advanced education
• Must have 9, or more, years of directly related experience
• Must have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role
• Must have a working knowledge and/or experience with Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise IT systems.
• Must have demonstrable Project Management experience in a high-performance environment.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently deliver executive-level briefings.
• Must have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA Level III Project Manager certification
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
• Have an ITIL certification
• Have Earned Value Management and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience
• Have experience managing high dollar-value projects (>500K) ranging in complexity
• Have experience managing geographically separated project teams
• Have experience managing projects in Agile and/or traditional waterfall methodologies
• Have DoD approved 8570 baseline certifications
• Must have 3 years of management and/or leadership experience
• Have experience with Microsoft Visio and/or Microsoft Project
This position is expected to pay $150,000 - $189,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
