KBR's enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract's original prime contractor. Job Summary
As a Sr. Maintenance Technician - Ground Support Equipment, you will be responsible for performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical equipment supporting Army operations, including HVAC systems, power generation units, dining facility (DFAC) equipment, reefers, and refrigeration systems. This position ensures operational readiness and compliance with Army and DoD standards while maintaining safety and reliability in challenging environments. Mentor and assist lower lever technicians is proper techniques and procedures.

Job Summary
As a Sr. Maintenance Technician - Ground Support Equipment, you will be responsible for performing advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical equipment supporting Army operations, including HVAC systems, power generation units, dining facility (DFAC) equipment, reefers, and refrigeration systems. This position ensures operational readiness and compliance with Army and DoD standards while maintaining safety and reliability in challenging environments. Mentor and assist lower lever technicians is proper techniques and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, power generation equipment, DFAC appliances, reefers, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues using advanced tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with Army technical manuals and DoD maintenance standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in Army-approved systems (e.g., GCSS-Army or other AIS platforms).
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity protocols when accessing Army Information Systems (AIS).
- Respond to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime and mission impact.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on troubleshooting techniques and safety procedures.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate requisitions for maintenance supplies.
- Comply with environmental, safety, and hazardous material handling regulations.
- Prepare and submit maintenance reports and documentation as required by contract and Army standards.
- Perform other duties and activities as directed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in maintenance and repair of HVAC, power generation, and refrigeration equipment.
- Proficiency in Army Information Systems (AIS) for maintenance tracking and reporting (e.g., GCSS-Army).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, and power generation equipment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks for military installation access.
- Ability to work in austere environments and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must have a valid Passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Prior military or contractor experience supporting Army operations.
- EPA Refrigerant Certification and advanced HVAC credentials.
- Familiarity with Army maintenance standards and technical manuals
