The Field Operations Manager is the primary on-site liaison for the Government at the C-SSE. This person is Recognized as a Spatio Peritus (Space Expert) (Speritus) task order expert and is responsible for the Commercial and Military Satellite Communications Operations Support (COSMOS) contract Speritus task order field staff, located at the geographically dispersed contract locations. This person provides overall direction and management of on-site personnel performing Operations and Maintenance.

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
Responsibilities:
- Acts as the primary liaison for Government on day-to-day operations at C-SSE.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, communicating progress, risks, and issues effectively.
- Anticipates customer issues; recommends product, process or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems.
- Responsible for all communication and actions required by field personnel in performance of the Speritus TO.
- Manages field operations resources; defines staffing levels and budgets.
- Mentors and advises field operations team members on projects with notable risk and complexity.
- Ensures quality of services and products delivered/provided by the field operations teams.
- Ensures field team compliance with all applicable contractual, legal, regulatory, and corporate guidance.
- Collaborates with the program manager to define program objectives, develop project plans, and allocate resources to meet business goals providing strategic direction, guidance, and support to ensure successful Task order execution.
- Contributes to Program Management Reviews (PMRs), produces status reports, and accomplishes contractor manpower reporting. Supports teleconferences and quarterly Technical Interchange Meetings with the customer.
- Contributes to proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budget and financial terms/conditions of contract.
- Supports contract transition.
Required Skills and Experience:
- An active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI is required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience is required.
- Requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in satellite communications (SATCOM)/ telecommunications and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the program.
- Experience with Wideband Satellite Operations Centers (WSOCs) and RSSCs.
- Exhibits exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness for problem solving and customer service.
- Ability to manage complex program requirements and team interactions with a diverse and distributed employee population in a restrictive contractual environment.
- Experience leading work teams in a continuous improvement environment with quality management tools, behaviors and practices.
- Effectively manages resources, schedules, budgets and makes technical business decisions.
- Understands and can apply risk management principles to day-to-day operations.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly at all organizational levels, both written and oral.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decisions and build strong relationships.
- Demonstrated management experience with increasing levels of leadership responsibility.
- Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel internationally, approximately 25-30%.

Compensation:
- For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $140,000 - $160,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
