Duties

As a SUPERVISORY PLANS AND PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Responsible for logistics plans, integrating global transportation and sustainment support to combatant commands.
  • Provides senior advisor subject matter expertise in planning global operations focused on force-flow, defense transportation, and logistics policy and issues.
  • Assigns work to subordinate employees based on organization priorities and requirements of assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of staff are effectively utilized to meet organization needs.
  • Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
  • Represents the organization in working groups, steering groups, or other meetings, conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Participates in contract administration ensuring compliance with contractual and funding processes and procedures used in the development and delivery of products and services.
  • Participates in real world exercises and/or war-game, development, planning, and after-action reviews.

  • This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507.
  • Employee required to travel by commercial or military aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY/TAD assignments).
Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Develops performance standards, appraises subordinate workers performance, resolves employee complaints, effects disciplinary measures, identifies employee development needs and arranges for training.
  • Plans, organizes, and directs the functions of a Combatant Command organization through subordinate employees.
  • Leads cross-combatant command planning for high-level staff coordination, integrated transportation support, Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) , and transportation feasibility analysis.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
