Prisma Automation Engineer- Remote

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Prisma Automation Engineer to enhance and automate the management of our cloud security infrastructure using the Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud platform. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency, reliability, and security across various cloud environments. You will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement in our processes and security posture. This position is fully remote working on EST.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of Prisma Cloud solutions.
• Automate the deployment and management of Prisma Defender agents at scale across various platforms, including Kubernetes and virtualized environments.
• Develop and execute test automation to validate software features and ensure product quality and reliability.
• Integrate Prisma Cloud with existing CI/CD pipelines to enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, gather requirements, and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to automated systems and the Prisma platform.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of workflows, processes, and technical specifications.
• Stay current with the latest trends in cloud technologies and cybersecurity, recommending innovative solutions to meet operational goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a role focused on automation, DevOps, or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with the Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud Enterprise platform is required, with a focus on engineering support, administration, and automation.
• Experience consulting with customers and working with Larger Enterprise Environments
• Experience in DevSecOps using Ubuntu and RedHat
• Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts and experience with major cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with RESTful APIs for automation and integration tasks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant cybersecurity or cloud certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Networks certifications, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD platforms like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL queries.
• Experience with AI-driven development tools or frameworks is a plus.

Compensation:

$130,000 - $160,000 ** depending on experience and degree**
