Valiant is seeking skilled CAT III Farsi Linguists to provide interpretation , translation /transcription services in support of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) ongoing operations and mission requirements.

Position Requirements
Additional Requirements:
- Conduct consecutive and accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation services of on-going conversations and intelligence collection activities into, from, and between the Specified Contract Required Language (s) (SCRL) and English.
- Provide accurate idiomatic translation of non-technical material using correct syntax and expression from English to the SCRL (s), or vice versa, as well as the ability to interpret/translate using colloquial words and phrases.
- Accurately provide the cultural and ethnic context of translation and interpretation.
- Accurately perform document exploitation (scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents).
- Provide written translation of aural, videotape, and/or other media sourced from one language into another language, with the meaning and intent of the original source preserved.
- Supplement interpretation and translation pertinent and specific to professional fields such as medicine, scientific, engineering, legal, etc.
- Identify and extract information meeting military information requirement criteria.
- Follow accurately the essentials of conversations between native speakers, reasonably make and answer telephone calls, understand radio broadcas t, news stories similar to war service reports, oral reports, some oral technical reports and public addresses on non-technical subjects.

Position Requirements
- Native proficiency in the SCRL language (Farsi) and meet at a minimum the criteria of the ILR level 3/3 in both the SCRL and English.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must have a TS/SCI government security clearance.
- Must successfully complete a counterintelligence polygraph examination.
- Must have familiarity with the cultural context of both the SCRL and English languages.
- Must be willing to travel, as required , to multiple OCONUS locations in support of mission needs.
Additional Requirements:
- Fit for Duty - The selected candidate must undergo an extensive medical examination to be certified medically fit for duty in the work assignment location. Similarly, the selected candidate must undergo a dental examination to be certified that there are no foreseen eminent dental issues. And the selected candidate must be vaccinated according to the required immunizations for the Area of Operation of the work assignment or able and willing to receive the required immunizations prior to deployment to the work assignment location.
- Must have sufficient unaided hearing to perform duties safely, hear and wake up to emergency alarms unaided, and hear instructions in the absence of visual cues such as lip reading. If an applicant does not meet this requirement, Speech Recognition in Noise Test (SPRINT) or equivalent testing is required along with an approved waiver pursuant to CENTCOM MOD 1 8 , Section 15, TAB A.
- Must be able to work under stressful circumstances and meet short suspense dates.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be free of medical restrictions / limitations that prevent the performance of required duties and/ or prevent the wearing and utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be physically capable of performing the work in conditions of extreme temperatures, low humidity, rain and blowing sand and dust.
- May be required to work on uncommon hours of duty, extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Employees shall utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices associated with all lifting and material handling tasks that are assigned and associated with this job description.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, crawl and climb as necessary to perform job functions using proper techniques and PPE for extended periods unassisted.
