As a senior engineer, you will architect scalable Appian applications, implement automated processes, and design user-friendly interfaces. You will collaborate closely with analysts and stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality solutions that empower business owners, enhance data-driven decision-making, and support evolving mission needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize Appian Data Fabric to design and manage scalable data models that support unified data views and multi-source integration.

• Implement complex security rules and role-based access across Appian components and data sources.

• Create automated workflows using the Appian BPM platform to support portfolio data capture, reporting, and form submissions.

• Build system integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, Web APIs, Connected Systems, and Integration Objects.

• Develop custom plug-ins and API endpoints to extend Appian functionality as needed.

• Apply Appian RPA and AI capabilities to automate processes, support data validation, and enhance workflow intelligence.

• Execute unit, integration, and regression testing and support testing after Appian version upgrades.

• Promote Appian objects and packages through DevOps pipelines across higher-tier environments.

• Assist with resolving issues in test and production environments.

• Work with Business Analysts to interpret requirements and translate them into conceptual workflows and interfaces.

• Provide insights on implementation complexity and recommend scalable, efficient design approaches.

• Support the creation of custom reports and dashboards, including those aligned with SOO goals for transparency and real-time insights.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide story estimates, and demonstrate application features during team reviews.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 3+ years of Appian development experience, including Records, SAIL, Process Models, and Reports.

• 2+ years of general software development experience, such as JavaScript, C#, or Java/J2EE.

• Experience with Appian Data Fabric, data modeling, and Appian process automation.

• Experience building APIs and optimizing integration performance.

• Strong understanding of web development concepts.

• Ability to translate written and verbal requirements into Appian workflows and interfaces.

• Experience participating in requirements-gathering sessions.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

• Experience supporting federal agencies.

• Appian A-Score Level 1+ or Appian Certified Associate Developer certification.

• Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, Agile environment.

EDUCATION:
