The Work
The selected candidate will serve as a Project Engineer on the Pilot Training Devices (PTD) System Integration and Test (SI&T) team.
As a Project Engineer, you will:
• Facilitate events and processes and assist the SI&T team in delivering value, communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk and drive improvement
• Work with Engineering, Finance, Planning and Program management teams to maintain cost and update SI&T IMS tasks as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
• Author and create quality and compliant cost estimates and support proposals for the SI&T organization
• Demonstrated knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience conducting internal technical reviews
• Utilize strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with proposal teams, finance personnel, project management staff, and other Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
Please Note: : This position will require the selected candidate to have the ability to obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin, as well as obtain a Special Access Program U.S. government security clearance within a reasonable time after starting the position. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
• 5 or more years of engineering experience
• Proven experience in Cost Account Management (CAM)
• Experience in Project Execution or Program Management; supporting programs or projects to achieve their cost, schedule, and technical goals
• Previous experience with generating metrics-based Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and providing proposal support
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and the ability to apply it to track cost schedule performance
• Experience developing and executing program and project plans
Desired Skills:
• Experience using JIRA Issue and Project Tracking Software
• Demonstrated effectiveness in task definition, planning and organization
• Highly proficient with MS Excel to include advanced functions
• Understanding of System, Software, and Hardware Engineering processes
• Demonstrated experience providing status and program deliverables to customers
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
