Cybersecurity Analyst

Mayvin is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to serve as a subject-matter expert in Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation and SysAdmin/ISSE for two to four individual Projects. This role is responsible for ensuring project adherence to US Navy RMF requirements, patching/hardening of project software, and generation of acquisition required IT documentation.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must have an active SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with DoN, DoW, and federal cybersecurity policies (DoW 8500-series, NIST 800-series, Clinger-Cohen).
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Lead efforts to improve cybersecurity posture across programs.
• Integrate cybersecurity into acquisition and development with program managers, engineers, and contractors.
• Develop and maintain RMF packages and provide SysAdmin/ISSE support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a cybersecurity-related field or equivalent experience/certifications.
• 3-5 years as a System Administrator or ISSE; must adhere to the PAA.
• DoD CSWF compliant (SECNAV M-5239.2) with required certifications: Security+, Windows 10/11, and Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu).
• Strong Linux/Windows administration experience for isolated DoD systems (updates, patches, installs).
• Experience maintaining system baselines, imaging, and deployment processes.
• Proven RMF package development with familiarity in NAVSEA RMF processes (RPG, SOPs, Business Rules, SCA Guide, RMF templates, DISN CPG).
• Ability to perform SA/ISSE duties: NIST 800-53 control implementation in eMASS, STIG application, vulnerability assessments, POA&M maintenance, and required documentation (SSPs, HW/SW lists, diagrams, SLCM strategies, SOPs, configuration guides).
• Active eMASS account.

Preferred Qualifications :

• ACAS certification and training to configure, update, manage, and maintain Tenable.io/SecurityCenter and Tenable Nessus systems.
• Familiarity with DITPR/DADMS.
• Experience with STIG Viewer, Evaluate STIG, and eMASSter.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GLSC, CASP+.
