Description
SAIC is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to manage advanced security measures to protect our systems and data from cyber threats. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats. This position is 100% remote.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats. This position is 100% remote.
The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- ISSO supporting the Navy
- Qualys, SCAP and ACAS vulnerability scanning and remediation
- Utilized STIG information to deploy hardened IT applications and systems
- Security assessment utilizing NIST cyber security framework
- Evaluated, analyzed, and recommended changes to improve security posture(s)
- Create documentation/artifacts to support critical assets and systems
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years' experience; Master's degree preferred; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency with security technologies and tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
