Koniag Advisory Business Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Information Specialist I (Associate) to support KABS and our government customer in Oklahoma City, OK. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Koniag Advisory Business Solutions is seeking a dedicated Information Specialist I (Associate) with a focus on customer support to join our team supporting the Oklahoma City Area Office and facilities throughout the Oklahoma City Area. This position plays a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to ensure smooth IT operations. This is a contract position starting 12/01/25 and ending 11/30/26.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The IT Specialist (Desktop Support) will serve as a front-line technical resource, addressing user issues and maintaining IT equipment throughout the organization. Principal responsibilities include:
  • Provide professional customer-focused technical support and assistance via telephone and in-person
  • Document and track IT support requests using ServiceNow incident management system
  • Deliver calm, respectful, and clear technical communication to users without excessive jargon
  • Efficiently escalate high-priority issues to appropriate team leads or managers
  • Resolve documented IT incidents and service requests within prescribed service level agreements
  • Install and configure new equipment including docking stations, computers, monitors, printers, and peripherals
  • Perform software installations and license management
  • Deliver remote and on-site desktop support to troubleshoot common incidents
  • Execute physical equipment and networking setup and relocations
  • Ensure compliance with agency-wide information security protocols and safeguard federal information systems
  • Implement security requirements and best practices to minimize organizational risk
  • Generate monthly ticket metric reports and other documentation as required

Education and Experience:
Required:
  • Experience with desktop/laptop support, printer/peripherals troubleshooting
  • Hardware and software installation experience
  • Network printer configuration experience
  • Experience with Active Directory user management
  • Previous work with IT ticket tracking systems, preferably ServiceNow

Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems and applications
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts
  • Experience with user account management and permissions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of information security best practices
  • Commitment to customer service excellence
  • Knowledge of Privacy Act requirements and information protection protocols
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information

Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment
  • Familiarity with Indian Health Service systems
  • Experience with remote support tools
  • Knowledge of inventory management processes
  • Experience creating technical documentation and knowledge base articles

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust
