This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Perform woodworking and carpentry services required for the maintenance and repair to the interior and exterior of buildings, facilities, and structures within the Depot; 2) Set up and operate woodworking machines and tools such as band saws, jig saws, planers, joiners, molders, mortises, tenons, and sanders; 3) Advise customers on matters such as errors in their plans or dimensions, problems of fit, installation and selection, or substitution of materials; 4) Provide first-level reporting of actions taken on all maintenance execution tasks to work leaders, and maintenance schedulers to consistently document for all maintenance work orders in MAXIMO and 5) Assist in ISO, AMMT and other Depot inspections as required; 6) Apply various coating materials such as paints, varnishes and shellacs with brushes, rollers, spray guns and other related methods and techniques to ensure that coating finish meets surface protection requirements.

- You will fabricate, assemble, install, and repair intricate articles of work or composition materials and interior wood finish
- You will work with standard surface preparation and coating methods and techniques
- You will interpret plans, blueprints, and sketches to visualize and complete complex wood crafting projects.
- You will select appropriate combinations of materials, machines, accessories, techniques and plans the complete sequence of work to minimize lost time and material waste

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
- This position requires rotating shift work.
