Cybersecurity Analyst

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how to secure it. As a cloud security architect, you know how to assess and implement requirements that ensure the safety of information systems and protect them against intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. We need you to help us develop cloud-based security architectures for some of our clients most critical systems.

As a cloud security architect on our team, you'll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources to address the risk management framework (RMF). Your technical experience will be vital as you work with stakeholders to ensure standards are met with information assurance and security requirements.

You Have:

• 6+ years of experience in Cybersecurity
• 3+ years of experience with performing cybersecurity analysis, compliance, or incident response in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with using security monitoring and vulnerability management tools such as Defender for Cloud, Prisma Cloud, or Tenable.io
• Experience with analyzing cloud logs and automation via scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
• Knowledge of cloud security architectures, zero-trust models, and identity or access management principles
• Knowledge of RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD Cloud SRG compliance frameworks
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• DoD 8140 baseline Level II or higher Certification, including Security+, CySA +, CASP+, or CISSP

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with supporting DoD cloud migrations, ATO packages, or Zero Trust implementation efforts in classified environments
• Experience with integrating cloud telemetry into SIEM or SOAR platforms such as Splunk, Elastic, or Microsoft Sentinel
• Experience working within Agile DevOps teams
• Knowledge of container security, IaC security such as Terraform or Ansible, and DevSecOps pipelines
• Ability to brief complex cloud security issues to technical and executive leadership
• AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or CCSP Certification
• SAFe Agile or ITIL Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
