Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support KDS and our government customer. This is a remote opportunity that also requires the ability to obtain a Public Clearance.

The Senior Cloud Engineer has all the skills required by the Systems Engineer, including, but not limited to, provisioning, maintaining, and monitoring on-prem/in-house/hosted environments. The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for the identification and selection of appropriate cloud services based on requirements and constraints, exercises subject matter expertise, and evaluates new technologies for fit in the current environment and infrastructure architecture.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintains private and public cloud infrastructure.
- Acts as a resource to internal ENS Staff and other mission area agencies.
- Helps establish and adhere to change control procedures and assists the development team during testing and development processes.
- Provides Tier 3 for relevant systems.
- Private cloud responsibilities include consulting on, planning, designing, installing, administering, and maintaining.
- Works closely with the lead architect to identify, analyze, and manage cloud infrastructure capacity planning.
- Develops, documents, communicates, and enforces Cloud technology standards policy.
- Develops, documents, recommends, and communicates plans for investing in IT Cloud infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
- The ability to obtain a Public Trust.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and three years of cloud infrastructure experience.
- Experience supporting Windows and Linux-based servers, both on-premises and in a VMWare environment.
