PROVIDE WAREHOUSING SUPPORT FOR PSNS Yokosuka Detachment.
  • The Contractor shall accomplish a broad range of warehouse support (receiving, storing, and shipping task). Perform daily pick-up of Hazardous Waste for the PSNS&IMF Detachment and transport all waste on a weekly basis to Commander Fleet Activity Yokosuka (CFAY) Hazardous Waste Area.
  • The Contractor shall be able to operate 1-ton and 3-ton truck. Clean up small ashore side spills; to include biohazard spills. Monitor and arrange waste dumping; recyclable metal binds, lock dumpsters (burn/non-burn), cardboard, wood and industrial waste dumpsters. Maintain HAZMAT lockers (End-use) throughout the detachments- maintain keys and ensure up to date custodian is noted, maintain inventories with period checks, expired products removed and disposed of, transfer containers are properly labeled. Provide HAZMAT support (bldg. 4808) - support inventory, expiration dates, cure dates, assist in ensuring items are in ERP/properly labeled.
  • The Contractor must be forklift license and know how to operate 3-ton forklift to process incoming and outgoing materials, to move palletized within warehouse spaces and to transport material to and from warehouse spaces, ships' piers, barges, and PSNS workshops.
  • The Contractor shall assist in unloading of shipments off trucks and be utilized to safety spot for other forklift drivers. The contractor shall deliver items to various requesting PSNS personnel to include printers/copiers, toner/ ink and materials.
  • The Contractor shall assist in organizing and tracking SLI/MTT material.
  • The Contractor will have access to material scanner and will be able to scan items into location after receiving into the warehouse. After the departure of the CVN, support inventory, Defense Reutilization Marketing Office (DRMO), re-whip, MTIS. PSNS inspectors and the Detachment Supply Management Officer are required to inspect and conduct surveillances on HazMat/HAZWASTE material to assess warehouse health and that NAVSEA, OSHA, local and PSNS instructions are being followed.

Forklift Operation.
  • The Contractor shall primarily operate a 3 ton forklift with occasional use of a 7 or 10 ton forklift for heavy loads to process incoming and outgoing materials, to move palletized material within warehouse spaces and to transport material to and from warehouse spaces, ships' piers, barges and PSNS workshops. The Contractor will assist in unloading of shipments off trucks and be utilized to safety spot for other forklift drivers. This position may require overtime.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • The Contractor personnel shall possess the necessary warehousing, knowledge, and skills necessary to carry out all assigned duties.
  • The Contractor's personnel will possess operator's permits for the size/type vehicles to be operated. Personnel operating government-provided light trucks or sedans shall possess a valid USFJ Form 4EJ, US Forces Japan Operator's Permit for Civilian Vehicle. Licensed up to 10-ton forklift
  • The Contractor will be required to lift items up to 60 lbs.
  • Must have a Secret clearance for this position.
