Job Title: Aerospace TIG Welder
Location: 220 Roberts Cut-Off Ft. Worth, TX 76114
Pay Rate: $ 26.75/hour
Duration: 6 months
Brief Description:
• Performs precision TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and Inconel, primarily for aerospace applications, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and quality standards. Maintains accurate documentation, supports stanchion setups, and participates in lean initiatives to improve workflow and quality.
• Execute TIG welding and other approved techniques on various metals to meet specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings to guide fabrication and repairs.
• Inspect welded assemblies for conformance, documenting results and maintaining accurate records.
• Set up and support stanchions, jigs, and fixtures for welding operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, FOD-free work area and follow all safety procedures.
• Complete required certifications (AWS D17.1) and maintain welding qualifications.
• Collaborate with team members and participate in continuous improvement/lean initiatives.
• Must be able to successfully weld Type 321 stainless steel thin wall tubing with an average wall thickness of approximately 0.028”-0.035” with diameters ranging from approximately 0.250” up to 1.5”; and eventually be able to weld Inconel, Titanium, and/or Aluminum.
