ServiceNow ITOM Platform Developer (Federal Support)
Clearance: U.S. Citizen with Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret preferred)
Location: U.S.-based (remote with occasional travel 20-25%)
Overview
We’re seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Platform Developer to support Federal clients. This role focuses on Event Management, Orchestration, Incident Remediation, Process Automation, and Cloud Integration within a managed services environment. This person can live anywhere USA, but must be close to a major airport as there will be some travel to customer sites from time to time.
You’ll design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, ensuring alignment with Federal standards (FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP). The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with solid communication and problem-solving skills.
Salary: 140-165K
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow ITOM and ITSM solutions.
Configure and customize modules such as Incident, Change, Service Catalog, CMDB, and Discovery/Service Mapping.
Develop automation scripts and integrations with monitoring and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Manage and optimize CMDB processes, reporting, and configuration management activities.
Collaborate with Federal clients, architects, and security teams to ensure compliance and best practices.
Create and maintain documentation, perform code reviews, and stay current with platform updates.
Requirements:
MUST possess an active Secret government clearance, at a minimum.
5–7+ years of ServiceNow development experience (ITOM/ITSM focus).
Strong scripting skills (JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, or Shell).
Experience with Event Management, Discovery, and Cloud Management modules.
Hands-on experience with CMDB, integrations, and automation workflows.
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (WMI, SNMP, subnetting).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ServiceNow modules (ITBM, HR, GRC, Portal).
Excellent debugging, documentation, and communication skills.
Must meet FedRAMP and U.S. Person requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, Togaf/IT4IT, or Cloud (AWS/Azure).
Prior Federal consulting experience and strong understanding of secure environments.
