Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' (NGMS) Advanced Tactical Programs Operating Unit within the Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) Division is seeking a Program Director 1 to be the lead on development programswithin the OUThis will be an onsite position in Linthicum Heights, MD.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a team of ~10 direct reports and hundreds of IPT members in the execution of a restricted portfolio of business related to next generation capability of vital importance to national security. This individual will have cost, technical, schedule and customer interface responsibility for a portfolio of programs related to hardware and software development and qualification and support to Prime and USG integration and testing efforts.
The successful candidate will possess strong people leadership abilities, excellent communications skills, and effective problem-solving skills. This person must have the ability to influence up and down the chain of command as required and will be responsible for operating and executing across the enterprise using influence, knowledge and experience to shape sector and corporate strategy. This position will be required to engage at senior levels in the Government and across the corporation and must display consistent impeccable judgment and embody Northrop Grumman leadership behaviors.

Primary Level Salary Range: $207,400.00 - $311,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

What You'll Get to Do:
- Positively lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team across multiple contracts.
- Execution of $500M+ P&L portfolio with expectations to grow the AOP year over year.
- Identify and respond to RFIs and RFPs in relation to the ATP program.
- Briefings to customers at the PEO level and NG leadership up to the Sector President and CEO.
- Collaboration across NG Sectors to drive integrated solutions.
- Customer communication and collaboration to drive mutual goals and shared success.
- Leadership of a team of matrixed reports where you will define goals, develop the team and ensure the team is continuously performing and growing into expanded roles.
- Actively manage Risk, Issues & Opportunities to ensure program execution success.
- Partner with functional disciplines to define and integrate expertise into the team.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 10 years of related experience OR a Master's degree with 8 years of related experience in p roject management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
- Experience in program/project management.
- Previous leadership of matrixed teams or management experience.
- Experience supporting DOD/DOW programs.
- Experience interfacing with government and prime customers.
- Prior roles involving Profit & Loss responsibility, contract execution, and business growth.
- Experience is the technical development and qualification of sensors in support of the defense industry.
- US Citizenship.
- Active, Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain special program access (SAP/PAR) after starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current SAP.
- Degree in a related STEM discipline.
- Experience with ABMS, Project Convergence, and/or Overmatch.
- Experience engaging, briefing, and influencing customer executive leaders.
- Breadth of knowledge and experience across NG and USG products, systems, missions, and operations.
