Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking Test Engineers (Mid - Sr.) to design, develop, and test software solutions for a suite of military avionics platforms. This role focuses on providing test support to the B-52 strategic bomber, automating testing processes, and collaborating with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) teams to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.

Location: Cambridge, MA
Responsibilities:
- Configure test environments (hardware/software/network) to replicate production.
- Design and execute test plans, cases, and scenarios.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Perform verification and validation of avionics systems.
- Maintain HIL automation systems for avionics platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide feedback on software quality.
Qualifications:
- DoD Secret clearance is required
- Level 3 Test Engineer: Bachelor's degree + 3 years experience or Master's + 1 year
- Level 4 Test Engineer: Bachelor's degree + 5 years experience or Master's + 3+ years or PhD + 1 year
- Level 5 Test Engineer: Bachelor's degree + 7 years experience or Master's + 5 years or PhD + 3 years
- Familiarity with HIL techniques and AI tools (preferred)
- NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, NI LabVIEW
- NI PXIe systems
- Programming: C/C++, Python, MATLAB
- Avionics protocols: MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN (preferred)
- Version control (Git), signal processing, data acquisition
Compensation:
- $120,000 - $190,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
