You will be the Program Management - Subcontract Senior Manager for the Santa Barbara Focal‑plane team. Our team drives end‑to‑end supplier performance for a high‑visibility DoD prime contract, ensuring the hardware and systems we procure meet rigorous technical, schedule, cost and affordability goals.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Sub‑contract Senior Manager you will lead a dedicated Supplier Management Team, partner with program and supplier executives, and own the full lifecycle of subcontract performance. Your scope spans technical validation, production delivery, budget tracking and affordability compliance while steering a dynamic, impact‑driven program.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Directing a team of subcontract, cost and performance targets.
• Acting as the primary liaison between program leadership, senior suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitoring and reporting technical performance of procured hardware and systems.
• Managing supplier production plans, delivery milestones and budget health.
• Ensuring all subcontract work meets or exceeds affordability requirements.
• Leading risk identification, mitigation and escalation processes.
• Supporting the established Supplier Management Team (SMT) framework and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Representing the program in occasional travel to supplier sites and customer facilities.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have a current DoD Secret clearance, with a background investigation completed within the past five years
• Experience with US DoD subcontract management.
• Demonstrated leadership and management of critical, major subcontracts within a US DoD environment.
• Demonstrated leadership of procurement professionals.
• Strong interpersonal skills and Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
• Demonstrated ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters which often requires coordination between functional organizations
• Experience with the procurement of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment within Defense or Aerospace industries
• Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP), with associated knowledge of FAR /
• DFAR requirements
• Demonstrated negotiation skills
• Working knowledge of standard contract types Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Team oriented with demonstrated organizational skills
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Business acumen and ability to make business-
• based decisions
• Self-motivated, ownership of tasks and accountable
• Able to work independently and in a team environment and work with all levels of management
• Able to travel

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
